Foolscap X continues the tradition of featuring original artwork from professionals and newcomers on an invitational basis. To be considered for invitation, prospective artists should submit samples of artwork to our jury.
If you have displayed artwork at Foolscap in the past, you may sign up for a panel or table-top as long as the majority of your display is new work. To submit samples to our jury, please send your choice of the following:
As Foolscap is devoted to “flat things” preference may be given to 2D artwork.
In selecting your samples, choose your most representative work.
Your samples will be used to determine your eligibility for the Art Show. Please include a means of contacting you in case there are questions, and so we can inform you of the jury’s decision.
Please do not send originals or valuable prints. If you need the sample returned, please include a self-addressed stamped mailing container.
We encourage new and innovative work that may challenge the boundaries of fantastic art without stepping outside the field. We will consider all art, of course, but may reject displays featuring media and non-genre artwork as inappropriate for our show.
Artwork may be displayed for sale or labeled “not for sale” but the Art Show is part of the Foolscap X convention, and artwork is expected to remain on display throughout the event.
Panels are 6' tall by 4' wide; the bottom two feet are very close to the floor and not very usable. Panels cost $12 each. If you’ve been approved by jury, you can send your fee in by check to:
